What do we stand for?

How energy efficiency becomes climate protection Sustainability

With hardly any other component of the building shell has the technology for energy savings progressed faster over the past few years than with the window. Weru and Unilux played a major role in this. Our windows achieve thermal insulation values that are approaching that of solid masonry. They easily satisfy the stringent requirements of the Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV). But not only with our products do we make a valuable contribution to climate protection. In our plants too we are committed to sustainability and responsibility towards the environment:

  • Environmentally friendly inert gases for the sake of the environment
Weru stopped using sulphur hexafluoride gas to improve acoustic insulation values and started exclusively using the inert gases argon and krypton at the end of 2003.
  • Resourceful use of materials
Our production runs with optimised offcut waste. This means that even in the work preparation stage we calculate how the materials (profiles and glazing) should be cut to minimise offcuts and waste. Waste is sent back to the supplier where it is shredded and reused.
